Update from Skills Development Scotland (SDS)
SDS is continuing to provide career information, advice and guidance for all people. Our advisers are currently now all working from home. Our service offer is being delivered via the phone or virtually during the hours of 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. Customers in the first instance should contact either centre (stranraer@sds.co.uk 01776889793 or dumfries@sds.co.uk 01387272500). I would encourage customers if they don’t follow up on Facebook just now they do so as they can also direct message the team from here as an additional method of getting in contact with us.
- we are working with the Scottish Government and other partners to ensure our PACE (Partnership Action for Continuing Employment) service offer is responsive to the emerging situation with updates posted to SDS’s website.
- we are already working with individual learners and apprentices, employers, learning providers and awarding bodies to support them and ensure that the effects of disruption are minimised and wherever possible, that they and are not negatively impacted in the longer term.
